Telangana is doubling down on its ambition to cement Hyderabad’s position as India’s fastest-growing tech hub.

According to PTI, IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu on Monday announced that the state aims to set up 120 Global Capability Centres (GCCs) within the next year, generating 1.2 lakh new jobs in emerging technologies.

The announcement came as global investment management giant Vanguard inaugurated its New India Global Value Centre (GVC) at Knowledge Park in Hitec City, marking another marquee addition to the city’s expanding global portfolio.

“Hyderabad has become a hub of trust, integrity and innovation,” Sridhar Babu said, adding that Vanguard’s choice of Hyderabad underscores the city’s “talent, stability, and global competitiveness.”
