HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - Tenants rallied outside their apartment building on Wethersfield Avenue after a fire broke out in the building last week. They’re saying that they’ve had problems with the building before and claim that their landlord is nowhere to be found.
About two dozen people were displaced when a fire broke out last Thursday at the apartment complex. One person was rescued from the third floor and two others were taken to the hospital.
The fire is believed to have started in the basement. Tenants think it had to do with a faulty boiler.
“We don’t know what caused the fire I’ve been trying to ask about because a lot of us have a hunch it has to do with the heat,” said Taylor McIntyre, a Wethersfield Avenue resident.
All the tenants’ belongings remain inside the building. S
