MANCHESTER, N.H. —
Social districts are on the ballot Tuesday in Concord, Nashua, Keene and Portsmouth.
Voters who support the measure would allow cities and towns to create districts where adults can buy and drink alcohol in designated public areas.

Licensed bars and restaurants would be able to sell drinks within the districts in labeled plastic containers holding 16 ounces or less.

Cities and towns could set their own hours, boundaries and rules.
It is part of a new state law signed in July .
