The police have arrested three people in connection with the alleged gang rape of a college student near Coimbatore Airport in Tamil Nadu.

The accused have been identified as Guna, Karuppasamy, and Karthik alias Kaleeswaran

According to officials, the accused tried to flee from the spot when police opened fire in self-defence, injuring them in the leg.
