Srinagar: The journalistic community in Jammu and Kashmir was plunged into grief on Monday after senior journalist Tariq Ahmad Bhat, the J&K Bureau Chief of The Week Magazine, passed away following a cardiac arrest.

A respected and seasoned journalist, Bhat was known for his integrity, deep insight, and decades-long contribution to reportage on Kashmir’s political and social affairs. Associated with The Week and Malayala Manorama Publications, he earned wide respect across media circles for his balanced analysis and ethical journalism.
