A farmer has faced an absurd battle with council planning officers to build a track on his land. They suggested he instead widen an existing track that’s shared with two other properties and with both residential and agricultural vehicles, instead of simply building a small, hidden track.

Orchard Farm is located in the countryside east of Bristol, south of the Wick village. Next to the farm are two listed buildings, and staff at South Gloucestershire Council were concerned that the new track would affect views of these buildings. However the people living there disagreed.
