A Roxbury Municipal Court judge today ordered a man held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday on charges he was involved in shooting a man on Marvin Street in Nubian Square on Saturday, court records show.

Boston Police report that Pernell Brown, 56, "was one of the individuals involved in the shooting." Police found Brown several blocks away, on Dudley Street at Dearborn Street - also suffering from a gunshot wound. Police did not say who shot him.

Brown was charged with armed assault with intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, firing a gun within 500 feet of a dwelling, unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of a loaded firearm, police say, adding he was already wanted on warrants for larceny under $1,200 and making a threat to commit a crime.
