ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Voters across Ohio will head to the polls Tuesday to cast their ballots in local elections across the state. Polls open across the Buckeye State at 6:30 a.m. and will close at 7:30 p.m.

In Belmont County, there are plenty of offices up for vote on the ballot, but the majority of the races are uncontested.

Still, some important positions will be up for grabs and several levies will be decided Tuesday.

Shadyside will decide its next mayor and its village council among a crowded field. John Nick Ferrelli and Mike Meintel will vie for the mayor’s seat.
