In a shocking twist to the Bengaluru doctor murder case, investigators have found that Dr Mahendra Reddy G S, who allegedly killed his dermatologist-wife Dr Kruthika M Reddy, sent a cryptic message, “I killed my wife for you”, to at least four to five women weeks after the murder.

Police said Mahendra, a general surgeon, sent the message through the payment app PhonePe, where it appeared in the transaction notes section. The recipients included a medical professional who had earlier rejected his proposal. Sources said the messages surfaced when police retrieved data from his seized mobile phone and laptop, which were sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for analysis.
