A Chicago woman, who is also a US citizen, was dragged out of her car and pinned to the ground by heavily armed, masked federal agents. According to a report by The Chicago Tribune, Dayanne Figueroa had been driving through West Town on her way to get coffee before work when she found herself amid a chaotic immigration raid.
Witnesses told the Tribune that agents were arresting several landscaping workers believed to be in the country without authorisation, as neighbours shouted warnings and honked horns — a signal commonly used locally to alert others of immigration enforcement in the area.
