Phase 2 of Ankleshwar Airstrip Construction to Begin Soon; ₹76-Crore Tender Issued November 04, 2025

Bharuch: The Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department’s Bharuch Division has invited bids for Phase 2 of the Ankleshwar Airstrip development, estimated to cost ₹76.12 crore. The project, expected to take 18 months to complete, follows the successful completion of Phase 1, which included the construction of the main airstrip earlier this year.

In this phase, the focus will be on strengthening the airstrip and surrounding infrastructure. The work includes large-scale earthwork, road construction, drainage systems, lighting, and safety installations.

The project involves laying multiple layers of stone, soil reinforcement, and bituminous concrete to create a durable and smooth runway surface. I
