The Village of Pellston will receive more than $145,000 from the state of Michigan to help fund a road repair project tied to sections of Mill Street and Edgar Boulevard.

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer announced in mid-October that 39 villages and cities across the state with populations less than 10,000 will receive road funding grants awarded through the Community Service Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) Category B program. The CSIF Category B program was enacted in 1987 and reauthorized in 1993 to provide as a “stop gap” measure for villages and small cities to finance highway, road and street projects that are critical to communities, according to a press release from Whitmer’s office.
