LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - High pressure remains large and in charge of the weather pattern as we head over the next few days before changes slowly arrive for the weekend.

Once again, you’ll want to grab that jacket and coat as you step out the door this morning as temperatures are off to a chilly start.

Thankfully, plenty of sunshine is on the way for the afternoon and evening which will give us a milder second half to the day.

Highs will rebound into the middle 70s and this will be the first sign of change to come as humidity slowly increases as winds switch to more southeasterly flow.
