The Delhi High Court on Tuesday quashed the criminal defamation case filed against journalist Arnab Goswami for calling a lawyer who attacked Kanhaiya Kumar in the Patiala House Court a goon.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna also quashed the cases against Times Group's Sameer Jain and Vinit Jain.
In February 2016, during a televised debate on Times Now hosted by Arnab Goswami, the anchor allegedly described advocate Vikram Singh Chauhan as a goon and hooligan.
Chauhan had been arrested for his alleged role in an attack on Kanhaiya Kumar and journalists on the court premises while the JNU student was produced before the judge in relation to the alleged anti-national sloganeering in the University.
