As India celebrates Guru Nanak Jayanti 2025, banks, schools and offices will remain shut in several states to mark the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has listed this date as a bank holiday.
According to the RBI’s official holiday calendar, banks will remain closed in multiple states and Union Territories, including Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Mizoram, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odish
