A former TV anchor has been arrested and charged with murder in the stabbing death of her 80-year-old mother.

Angelynn Mock, 47, is accused of killing her mother by stabbing her multiple times in Wichita, Kansas. She was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on a charge of first-degree murder, police said .

The Wichita Police Department said officers responded to a “reported cutting” at a residence where Mock’s mother, Anita Avers, was found unresponsive in her bed with multiple stab wounds around 7:52 a.m. Friday. Avers was transported to the nearby St. Francis Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead at 8:26 a.m.
