Stockport council has been urged to re-think plans to open a children’s residential care home on a ‘dangerous’ road in High Lane.

It would see the house accommodate up to five children at the property if the scheme is approved.

An application is set to be decided by the council’s planning committee this week on November 6.

But 39 people have submitted letters of objection about the plans at 9 Carr Brow, describing the road as a ‘dangerous cut through’ to the A6 Buxton Road.

Stuart Barton , 56, is a resident who said he worked in the police service for 30 years.
