The man arrested for attacking Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has confessed that he wanted to eliminate the senior BJP leader in order to become rich and famous.
According to the charge sheet filed by police in the case, the accused Sakariya Rajeshbhai Khimji (41) has also admitted to his mistake and sought pardon for his act.

“I wanted to be famous and rich by killing Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. I made a huge mistake and I should not have done it. Please pardon me,” the police quoted the accused as saying, in the charge sheet.
The chief minister was attacked during a ‘Jan Sunwai’ (public hearing) on August 20. Khimji along with his associate Tahsin Raja Rafiullah Shaikh alias Bapu were arrested in connection with the case.
