There were some gut-wrenchingly sad scenes in the Serbian top flight as players found out about their coach’s death mid-match.
FK Radnicki 1923 were playing away at Mladost in the Serbian SuperLiga when their manager Mladen Zizovic was taken ill in the first half.
Local reports claim the 44-year-old Bosnian collapsed on the touchline in the 22nd minute and was taken away for treatment.
The game was paused as paramedics rushed to the scene and later resumed.
However, in the 41st minute the referee made the decision to call off the clash, informing the players that Zizovic had tragically died.
The scenes were gut-wrenching as players from both sides collapsed in agony, while on the benches tears were already flowing.
