NEW YORK – New Yorkers have warned of the damage that Donald Trump’s “revenge” could wreck on their city as they head to the polls to elect a new mayor on Tuesday .

The President has threatened to withdraw vital federal funds and send in Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) troops if 34-year-old Zohran Mamdani wins, a move voters have described as an attack on democracy and a further extension of Trump’s “autocratic” regime .
