Dick Cheney, former vice president to George W Bush, has died aged 84.

He died on Monday night due to complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease, according to a statement from family spokesman Jeremy Adler.

Punchbowl News reporter Jake Sherman first reported his death in a post on X on Tuesday.

He wrote: “Richard B. Cheney, the 46th Vice President of the United States, died last night, November 3, 2025. He was 84 years old.”
