Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday made a strong statement against illegal encroachers, asserting that the government’s eviction drive will continue relentlessly. “Illegal encroachers — the MIYANs — can never live peacefully as long as I am the Chief Minister. The eviction drive will continue. Even today, eviction notices have been served to illegal occupants in Behali, Sonitpur district. As long as I hold this chair, the MIYANs will remain in tension," said the CM.
