"HamWow - all mess, all drip."
With these words infomercial legend Vince Offer - popularly known as the ShamWow Guy - kicked off a spoof parody video that has now spawned an equally messy court case.
The four-minute video on a ham-slice wipe, and its crude potential uses, was created for Melbourne-based YouTuber Chad Roberts and the 3.1 million subscribers to his drinking-centric comedy channel, Cold Ones.
The channel mixes drinking into games, challenges and "pure chaotic fun", Roberts says.
But Offer alleges in court documents seen by AAP that the video was locked behind another site's paywall, reserved for 94,000 paying fans.
Roberts agreed in January 2024 to pay up to $US10,400 ($A15,900) in production costs for the mock advertisement parodying the viral ad for Offer's yellow Sham
