Rutgers football is fighting for its postseason life.
If the Scarlet Knights are going to make a bowl game for a third-straight year, they’re going to have to beat Maryland Saturday, Nov. 8.
Rutgers needs two more wins to secure bowl eligibility. After the Terrapins , it plays at Ohio State and at home against a struggling, beleaguered Penn State.
Clearly the chances of the Scarlet Knights beating the No. 1 Buckeyes are extremely slim.
So that means one of those two needed wins will need to come against Maryland.
This is an important game.
The Terrapins are 4-4, 1-4 against Big Ten competition – the win came against Wisconsin.
Maryland has struggled on both sides of the ball. It’s lost four games in a row. It has a head coach in Mike Locksley who very possibly is coaching for
