A 24-year-old man was seriously injured when stabbed Monday night in southwest Rochester, according to police.
Emergency responders were called to Dr. Samuel McCree Way to assist a man who had been stabbed just after 9:20 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, said Capt. Nathan Cornell of the Rochester Police Department. Officers later learned that he was stabbed on Eddy Street, several blocks north of where he was found, on Monday night.
"Officers immediately began to render aid and were able to quickly apply a tourniquet," he said.
The stabbing victim, a city resident, was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, Cornell said.
