Operation Green Light to honor military Veterans in Currituck County

Currituck County will show its support for military veterans by displaying green lights at county facilities from Nov. 4 – 11. The Board of Commissioners adopted a resolution on Oct. 20, to support Operation Green Light and declare Currituck County a “Green Light for Veterans County.”
This year marks the fifth anniversary of Operation Green Light, an initiative of the National Association of Counties. It coincides with Veterans Day and encourages the use of green lighting to recognize military veterans. Local governments, businesses, and homes can participate by placing green lights in windows or exterior lighting.
