Pratika Rawal played a key role in India’s title-winning campaign at the 2025 Women’s World Cup. However, she did not receive a winner’s medal after India lifted the trophy for the first time, defeating Laura Wolvaardt’s South Africa by 52 runs in the final on October 2 at the Dr DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai.

As per the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) eligibility criteria, medals are awarded only to players included in the official 15-member squad at the conclusion of the tournament - including the knockout and final stages.

Rawal missed out on the latter half of the tournament after suffering a knee and ankle injury during the group-stage match against Bangladesh in Navi Mumbai. Subsequently, she was replaced by Shafali Verma ahead of India’s semi-final clash against Australia.
