There’s nothing as magical about a festive getaway to a snowy, winter wonderland. It’s even better if it’s the home of Father Christmas himself.

This week Ryanair launched its direct route from Manchester Airport to Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland in Northern Finland.

The first flight of the season departed on Monday, November 3 and the budget airline will operate flights twice a week from Manchester.

Fares start from just £15.99 one way, making it the perfect budget-friendly getaway in the run up to Christmas. This doesn’t include baggage or seat allowance.
