The family members of Adarsh Behera, who has been taken hostage by paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) involved in Sudan's ongoing civil war, have appealed to the government to ensure his early release. The 36-year-old, who hails from Odisha's Kotakana village, was abducted from Al Fashir last week and remains in the captivity of the rebels.
Adarsh's wife Susmita said she received a phone call from her husband informing her about his abduction. All his personal belongings, including his mobile phone, have taken away by the abductors. Adarsh Behera had told his wife that he would be released soon. But, he has not returned so far.
