VIEW, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) –Several area fire departments were called out early Tuesday morning after a house fire broke out just south of Abilene.
According to scanner traffic, the call came in around 3:23 a.m. for a fire at 9238 FM 1235 near Highway 277 in View. The caller told dispatch the blaze started in the garage.
Fire crews from the View Volunteer Fire Department, along with units from Potosi, Buffalo Gap, and Merkel, all responded to the scene. From what could be seen early this morning, the fire has since been put out.
Taylor County deputies were on scene, blocking traffic while crews worked to get things under control.
No injuries or the extent of the damage have been reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
