CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - A Springfield man was arrested after a loaded firearm was seized following a shots-fired call in Chicopee.
The Chicopee Police Department states that on Sunday at 5:48 a.m., Westcomm Regional Dispatch received a 911 call reporting shots fired in the 0-100 block of State Street. The person who reported the incident described the suspect vehicle and advised dispatch that the involved vehicle was now parked in the 0-100 block of Beverly Street.
Officers located the vehicle and saw that two men were inside. Officers approached the vehicle and, due to the previous reports, asked both the driver and the passenger to step out of the vehicle.
The passenger was identified as 31-year-old Robert Irizarry of Springfield, and the driver was identified as Fernando Resto. Neit
