A 19-year-old man, Hastings MacDonald, has died after being struck by a vehicle at Nkhoma village near Kasese Trading Centre in Dowa District.

Mponela Police Spokesperson Macpatson Msadala reported that MacDonald was hit by a Toyota Runx traveling from Lilongwe towards Kasungu while crossing the road from left to right.

The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Kasese Health Centre, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
