Seventeen years after a 24-year-old real estate agent was killed while showing a home in Saanich — marking one of the most high-profile murders in B.C. — her mother is making an urgent appeal for help.

On Nov. 2, what would have been Lindsay Buziak’s 42nd birthday, her mother, Evelyn Reitmayer, made a rare public statement in a YouTube video.

“Feb. 2 will mark the 18th year of her horrific murder. Another year without closure — without knowing who or why. Another year that those responsible walk free,” said Reitmayer.
