Once considered rare, theft or vandalism of campaign signs seems to have become a regular occurrence each election. This year, it seems candidates endorsed by the Clark County Democrats have been especially targeted.
Randi Knott, a candidate for the Clark County Charter Review Commission, filed a report with the sheriff’s office on Oct. 27 after finding one of her 4-by-8-foot signs valued at $400 had been taken down, broken and thrown in the mud.
Knott said the Clark County Democrats received a complaint that her sign and another sign regarding affordable housing were on private property and needed to be removed. She said party chair Tim Probst investigated the complaint.
