OTTAWA — The tone of the rest of Prime Minister Mark Carney’s time in office could be set on Tuesday.
Journalists, pundits and politicans alike were anxiously awaiting the release of Tuesday’s budget, the first in Carney’s fledgling government and one that many say will set the tone for the rest of his administration.
“A great budget is about sending a signal and it’s about sculpting a strategy, and the strategy we need is one around unlocking private sector growth,” Ontario Chamber of Commerce CEO Daniel Tisch told the Toronto Sun last week .
“It’s about breaking down barriers to competitiveness, and it’s about investing aggressively in infrastructure and talent.”
