A man was left fighting for his life after an early morning crash in Wombourne.

Emergency services raced to Stourbridge Road at 5.44am on Tuesday, November 4, following reports of a collision between a car and a van.

The driver of the car had suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further treatment.

The van driver was taken to Dudley's Russells Hall Hospital with potentially serious injuries.
