Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon is signaling new progress on his plot for President Donald Trump to seek a third term in 2028.

During an episode of his “War Room” podcast on Monday, Bannon told his listeners that he has been speaking with “one of the top constitutional lawyers in this country,” but did not provide a name.

“As he works through this, his quote to me is ‘Bannon, you can drive a Mack truck through the 22nd Amendment,” Bannon said, referencing the Constitution, which prohibits any person from serving more than two terms as president.

“So, suck on that,” he added.

Bannon also claimed, “You damn right it’s Trump 28. You damn right. You know what, it puts the fear of God in them,” as he went on to call the president a “providential figure.”
