CHITRADURGA: A car driver assaulted a helper near PVS Hospital in the city over a trivial reason. A video of the incident has since gone viral on social media.

The helper Anjinamma was cleaning the floor when the car driver Manjunath allegedly splashed water on her. When she questioned him, a verbal altercation ensued, which eventually turned physical.

Anjinamma has alleged that Manjunath not only assaulted her, but also used casteist slurs against her. A case has been registered against Manjunath at the APMC police station.
