A busy East London road has been taped off by police after a person was struck by a bus. Blackhorse Road in Walthamstow has been shut since about 1pm this afternoon (Monday, November 4) following the incident.

Pictures from the scene show the junction outside Blackhorse Road station is partially blocked with a single decker bus inside the cordon area, along with a paramedic's first aid kit.

A police car is stationed at the turning point between Blackhorse Road and Forest Road.

Traffic maps show Forest Road is experiencing more congestion due to the incident, along with Hoe Street in central Walthamstow which runs adjacent to Blackhorse Road.
