An aspiring lawyer from Saint Joseph School got a feel for how local policies are made when he served Oct. 16 as an honorary Berkeley County commissioner.

Reid Pezzanite, 14, of Martinsburg, told the five commissioners, plus the county’s administrator and administrative assistant, that he hasn’t set his sights on a specific college yet, but he’s interested in studying law. When he’s not in school, he likes to watch movies and play games with his family, including his sister, who also attends SJS. He also likes listening to rock music and brought a smile to the commissioners’ faces when one asked him if he knew the name Elton John and he responded with “I think so” rather than a blank look.
