SRINAGAR : The Food Safety Department in Anantnag has prohibited the sale of atta sold under the brand name KK (Batch No. A-22) following a safety inspection. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

An order issued by the Assistant Commissioner read that the decision comes after a sample of the atta , manufactured by KK Roller Flour Mills, EPIP, SIDCO Industrial Complex, Bari Brahmana, Jammu, was tested at the Food Laboratory, Kashmir. The lab report (No. FSSA/K/2025-26/MR-5551 dated 17-10-2025) confirmed the presence of insects, deeming the product unsafe for consumption.
