Tuesday is the final day to cast ballots in the special election on Proposition 50, the statewide congressional redistricting proposal.
More than 140 official ballot drop boxes will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the San Diego County Registrar of Voters.

Voters will be asked whether to approve the redrawing of California's congressional district lines in an effort to create more Democratic seats in the House — an effort Gov. Gavin Newsom says will offset a similar move in Texas designed to create more Republican seats.
