ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions are working through every option after losing a starter and enduring some struggles on the offensive line.
Left guard Christian Mahogany will be out until at least late December. Dan Campbell also said they would need to take it easy with tackles Penei Sewell and Taylor Decker this week in practice. He wasn’t sure if they would be able to play in Washington.
It’s been a rough stretch on the offensive line, with or without those injuries. The running game has been very hit-or-miss. Jared Goff has been sacked 18 times in eight games, on pace for a new career-high mark. In the two ugliest losses of the year, there have been communication issues on the offensive line, hampering what the offense can do.
