Bullhead City and the Mohave Valley area will see rising winds Wednesday as a regional system moves through, creating increased fire risk and potentially hazardous travel conditions.

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has placed Mohave County under a moderate wind risk, forecasting southwest winds of 20 to 35 mph throughout the region. While the strongest gusts—over 40 mph—are more likely in parts of California and Nevada, local gusts in Bullhead City could reach 23 mph, with sustained winds up to 16 mph. ×
