Jake Wilkins didn’t run away from his father Dominque Wikins’ legacy when he chose to follow his path to play for Georgia basketball .
It didn’t take long for the freshman forward from Grayson High to make a good first impression before the home fans.
After a quiet first half, Wilkins erupted in the second half to energize the Bulldogs in a 104-59 romp over Bellarmine on Monday Nov. 3 in his collegiate debut.
Wilkins finished with 12 points on 4 of 9 shooting with 2 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block in 15 minutes.
"I’ve been trying to showcase my talent since I got here in June,” he said. “It feels good to really be here and perform in front of a crowd.”
