With only one month remaining in the 2025 college football regular season, the College Football Playoff is inching closer.
About five weeks before the final 12-team playoff field is set, the playoff selection committee will unveil its first batch of rankings on Tuesday, Nov. 4.

Teams across the country won’t be the only ones eagerly awaiting to see if their name will be revealed as part of the committee’s top 25. Depending on who their television provider is, some of their fans will be awfully anxious, too.
The carriage dispute between Disney and YouTube TV that affected millions of college football fans across the country last weekend remains unresolved. Because of that, ABC and the ESPN family of networks do not appear on YouTube TV as Disney and Google, YouTube TV’s parent company, continue to work toward a solution.
Even with Saturday still four days away, college football fans with YouTube TV are still in the lurch, with a handful of mid-week games and the first playoff rankings show.
Here’s what you need to know about the Disney and YouTube TV standoff, including what games will be impacted and other ways to consume college football content:

Why aren’t ESPN channels on YouTube TV?
Disney and Google, YouTube TV’s parent company, were unable to come to an agreement on carriage fees by a deadline of 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, Oct. 30, after which Disney pulled its channels from YouTube TV.
Since then, both sides in the dispute have presented their own stories on why the blackout has occurred and why the dispute continues.
In a blog post published on Oct. 30, YouTube TV alleged that Disney used "a threat of a blackout on YouTube TV as a negotiating tactic" in their carriage talks that would "raise prices on our customers." It added that if the Disney-owned channels remain off YouTube TV for "an extended period of time," YouTube TV subscribers will receive a $20 credit.
"We know this is a frustrating and disappointing outcome for our subscribers and we continue to urge Disney to work with us constructively to reach a fair agreement that restores their networks to YouTube TV," the blog post read.
Disney, meanwhile, accused Google of "using its market dominance to eliminate competition and undercut the industry-standard terms we’ve successfully negotiated with every other distributor."
