DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- An investigation is underway after a person was found dead at the Dothan Regional Airport Tuesday morning.

Dale County Coroner John Cawley confirmed to WDHN that he had been dispatched to a death at the airport.

Initial reports from law enforcement show a person was found near an airport terminal with a possible self inflicted gunshot wound.

WDHN has a reporter heading to the scene. Dothan Police are expected to release more information soon.
