A Glenolden optician who was offering free items in exchange for sexual acts with customers was sentenced Monday to five years of sex offender probation.

Brian T. Steiner, 40, of the 100 block of Rambler Road, pleaded guilty in September to two counts each of indecent assault and promoting prostitution, all misdemeanors, as well as one felony count of theft by unlawful taking.

He was sentenced to five years of probation for the theft charge with concurrent probation charges for each of the other offenses under the guilty plea negotiated by Assistant District Attorney Bryan Barth and defense counsel Steven Pacillio.

The remaining charges, which included rape by threat of forcible compulsion, sexual assault, false imprisonment, stalking and harassment, were dismissed under the plea accept
