Jon Stewart will stick with “The Daily Show.”
According to Variety , Paramount is bringing the popular, fiery and sometimes controversial host for another year. He will appear once per week on the Comedy Central show he became an icon between 1999 and 2015.
Stewart, 62, returned to the show in 2024. He will continue to serve as executive producer for the series through December 2026. The late-night program will be hosted by a rotation crew of hosts Tuesday through Thursday.
“Jon Stewart continues to elevate the genre he created. His return is an ongoing commitment to the incisive comedy and sharp commentary that define ‘Daily Show,’” said Ari Pearce, head of Comedy Centra, in a statement.
