EXCLUSIVE: Jonathan Bailey might be missing from NBC’s upcoming broadcast special Wicked : One Wonderful Night , but, luckily, Fiyero is not.

In fact, more than one of Bailey’s Wicked co-stars was ready to take over the role in his absence. A clip from the upcoming musical event, which Deadline can exclusively reveal, features both Bowen Yang and Ethan Slater duking it out on stage for the limelight in “Dancing Through Life.”

“Ethan, what are you doing?!” Yang asks incredulously, to which Slater replies: “Nice job working my character name into the segment, but tonight I’m Fiyero’s understudy.”
